Jaguar leaper mascot by Arden
Part No AAK 42000
Arden leaping Jaguar bonnet motif . A facelifted product cast in brass and chrome plated with 10 year corrosion protection warranty. This is a fully crash tested Jaguar bonnet leaper which complies with European Vehicle Safety Directives and it is supplied with the relevant TUV certificate. Since 1985 the Arden Leaper mascot has been TÜV approved. This TÜV approval allows the use of this Leaper under European Law and is applicable to all countries within the EU including the UK. Should a collision occur the Leaper will separate easily from its base minimising any risk of serious injury. The leaper bases are available in two different diameters, 38mm and 53mm. These two versions cover all recent Jaguar models except XK (X150) and XF for which there is another version with an angled base (part no. AAK 42007). Aftermarket Jaguar leaping mascots are legally allowed to be fitted to motor vehicles providing they conform to European Directive 74/483/EEC. This directive covers external projections of motor vehicles and added ornaments. Annex 1, Point 6.1.1 of European Directive 74/483/EEC states that any added ornament which projects more than 10 mm from its support shall retract, become detached or bend over under a force of 10 daN.
