Timing chain set
Part No RG 125
Set of 4 heavy duty timing chains. These are for the 4.0 (and 3.2) AJ V8 engine fitted to the XK and XKR (X100 model), the XJ and XJR (X308 model) and the S type 4.0. Sourced from a top quality German supplier, these chains are stronger and better made than the factory items. Racing Green have used these chains on many applications (including TVR speed 6, TVR AJP V8 and the Jaguar 6 cylinder XK engine) where the simplex version has been deemed strong enough to replace the original duplex chains. The result? 100% success - even in full race applications! Racing Green have also used this chain on numerous AJ V8 road cars, again with a 100% reliability record. And all this at less than half the price from Jaguar! We strongly recomend replacing the guides and tensioners with Jaguars latest, a list of which can be supplied, if required. Not for the 4.2 engine.
