Exhaust Upgrade

Quad tailpipe half exhaust system for normally aspirated XK. This is a 304 specification stainless steel, high-performance "straight through" twin system, which culminates in four superbly finished circular tailpipes. It is produced to Racing Green Cars' design by the manufacturer of the exhaust systems fitted to the iconic McLaren F1 roadcar. The Racing Green Jaguar XK system is fitted aft of the OE Jaguar centre exhaust box and replaces everything behind it - in particular, the very heavy final 3' x 2' Jaguar Exhaust silencer, with its valves and two small tailtrims.. The Racing Green system comprises 2 1/2 " large bore, mandrel-bent tubes which feed into straight through silencers. These terminate in a pair of silenced, acoustic tailtrims on each side of the car - giving a total of 4 outlets (rather than the standard 2 tailpipes). These highly polished, rolled edge tail trims are circular, styled to the contours of the car and are visually much more impressive than the OE products. The system can be fitted using the original Jaguar mounting points and rubber hangers. It is easily aligned because, unusually, it is equipped with fully articulating clamp joints. It is necessary either to trim the XK's lower rear valance to accommodate the additional pair of Racing Green tailtrims, or alternatively to fit an XKR "extension cover". This Racing Green Cars performance exhaust system was carefully developed to achieve the ultimate, very addictive Jaguar V8 sound which is audible to the driver - without creating resonance in the cockpit or being annoying on a long drive. It is also of course attractive to other car drivers and bystanders ! The system should also provide up to 12 bhp more power.
